This Saturday, October 31, 2026, American Legion Post 208 in Vinton will host **Little Troopers 250**, a community fundraiser benefiting **Christmas for Military Kids**.

🚨 VINTON HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING PARADE – ROUTE CHANGE 🚨
Please be advised that the parade route for Friday, October 23, 2026, has changed.
The parade will begin at the intersection of Horridge Street and Grace Avenue and proceed down Horridge Street to Breaux Pharmacy.
The parade will then turn right onto Center Street and conclude at the intersection of Eddy Street and Center Street.
IMPORTANT: The parade will NOT cross Highway 90 or the railroad tracks.
Parade lineup: 3:00 PM
Parade begins: 4:00 PM

Investing in Vinton’s Future!

The Town of Vinton is pleased to announce the receipt of $215,200 from the Calcasieu Parish Road and Drainage Trust Fund for 2026 drainage improvements.

These funds will support important drainage infrastructure improvements throughout our community, helping address drainage concerns and protect our residents and properties.

We extend our appreciation to the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury for its continued investment in the Town of Vinton.

🔥 **REMINDER: BURN BAN REMAINS IN EFFECT** 🔥

The Town of Vinton would like to remind residents that the **parishwide burn ban issued on October 15, 2026, remains in effect** throughout Calcasieu Parish, including the Town of Vinton.

🚫 All outdoor private burning is prohibited, including burning leaves, trash, brush, debris, campfires, and bonfires.

Residents are urged to continue observing these restrictions until the burn ban is officially lifted.

The Town of Vinton reminds everyone planning to participate in the upcoming parade to review the Parade Participant Rules & Agreement.

All participants must follow the established safety guidelines, and all vehicles must be approved before participating.

🚗 Important Reminders:

Drivers must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Golf carts and side-by-sides must be fully decorated according to the parade theme.
All participants must remain on the designated parade route.
No open alcoholic beverages or glass containers are permitted.
📄 All drivers must complete and sign the agreement before participating.
