Vinton, Louisiana

October 22, 2007

The Mayor and Council of the Town of Vinton, Louisiana, met in special session at the regular meeting place of said Mayor and Council, in the Town Hall, Vinton, Louisiana, at 6:30 P.M., on the 22^nd day of October, 2007, after full compliance with all requirements as to notice and otherwise in respect to convening of said meeting with the following members present:

Kenneth O. Stinson, Mayor

Bliss Bujard, Council Member

William “BB” Loyd, Council Member

Kevin Merchant, Mayor-Pro-Tem

Edward J. Vice, Council Member

ABSENT: Karen Douglass, Council Member

ALSO PRESENT: Thad Minaldi, Town Attorney

Kenneth Stinson, Mayor called the meeting to order and reported that the purpose of the meeting was as follows:

1. To discuss and/or transact business pertinent to proposed garbage contract.

Attorney Minaldi explained and discussed with the governing authority modifications made to the garbage contract.

After discussion, it was moved by Council Member Bujard to authorize the Mayor to enter into the contract as discussed with IESI for garbage pick-up in the Town of Vinton, with services provided by IESI to begin on January 16, 2008. The motion was seconded by Council Member Vice and the vote cast thereon was as follows:

YEAS: Council Members Bujard, Loyd, Merchant and Vice

NAYS: None

ABSENT: Council Member Douglass

There being no further business to come before the Governing Authority, it was moved by Council Member Loyd that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Council Member Vice and carried.
