The Mayor and Council of
the Town of Vinton, Louisiana, met in special session at the regular meeting
place of said Mayor and Council, in the Town Hall, Vinton, Louisiana, at 6:00
P.M., on the 28th day of September, 2009, after full compliance with
all requirements as to notice and otherwise in respect to convening of said
meeting with the following members present:
Kenneth
O. Stinson, Mayor
Harold
R. Douga, Council Member
William
“BB” Loyd, Mayor-Pro-Tem
Paul
Patin, Council Member
ABSENT:
ALSO PRESENT:
Kenneth Stinson, Mayor
called the meeting to order and reported that the purpose of the meeting was as
follows:
1.
To discuss and/or transact
business pertinent to adopting resolution for L-GAP Grant.
2.
To discuss and/or transact
business pertinent to school bus cameras
It was moved by Council
Member Loyd that the following Resolution be adopted. The motion was seconded by Council Member
Patin and the vote cast thereon was as follows:
YEAS: Council Members Bujard, Douga, Loyd and Patin
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Council Member Merchant
RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the
Governing Authority of the Town of
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
that Mayor Stinson is also authorized and empowered to sign all applications
and other pertinent documents regarding said grant.

It was moved by Council
Member Douga that Mayor Kenneth O. Stinson be authorized to enter into a joint
service agreement with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury regarding the “School
Buses Safety Enforcement-Traffic Cameras on School Buses” program. The motion was seconded by Council Member
Loyd and carried.
There being no further business to
come before the governing authority, it was moved by Council Member Douga that
the meeting be adjourned. The motion was
seconded by Council Member Bujard and carried.
