Vinton Louisiana

The Governing Authority of the Vinton Public Power Authority was convened in regular session in the Town Hall, Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at approximately 7:45 P.M. after full compliance as to notice and otherwise in respect to convening of said meeting with the following members present:

Kenneth O. Stinson, President

Bliss Bujard, Director

William “BB” Loyd, Director

Kevin Merchant, Director

Paul Patin, Director

ABSENT: Harold R. Douga, Director

ALSO PRESENT: Thad Minaldi, Board Attorney

President Stinson called the meeting to order.

It was moved by Director Loyd to authorize the Treasurer to pay the bills for the month. The motion was seconded by Director Merchant in and carried.

President Stinson announced that three bids were received in response to the advertisement for bids for a new transformer, and they are as follows:

GE $445,271.00

ABB $371,220.00

*Solomon $294,900.00

*Refurbished model. Losses not guaranteed.

Upon the recommendation of the Engineer, it was moved by Director Merchant to accept the bid from ABB in the amount of $371,220.00 for a new transformer. The motion was seconded by Director Bujard and carried.

It was moved by Director Merchant to authorize the Engineer, Nowlin & Associates to advertise and receive bids for the installation of the new transformer. The motion was seconded by Director Loyd and carried.

There being no further business to come before the governing authority, it was moved

by Director Bujard that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Director Patin and carried.
