Vinton Louisiana

The Governing Authority of the Vinton Public Power Authority was convened in regular session in the Town Hall, Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at approximately 7:30 P.M. after full compliance as to notice and otherwise in respect to convening of said meeting with the following members present:

Kenneth O. Stinson, President

Bliss Bujard, Director

Harold R. Douga, Director

William “BB” Loyd, Director

Kevin Merchant, Director

Edward Vice, Director

ABSENT: None

ALSO PRESENT: Melba Landry, Secretary

President Stinson called the meeting to order.

It was moved by Director Merchant to authorize the Treasurer to pay the bills for the month. The motion was seconded by Director Douga and carried.

Melba Landry, Secretary discussed with the governing authority the importance of staying informed on the recent closures and maintenance issues with dams. She stated these dams and the closures thereof could negatively affect the authority and its ability to purchase hydro-power.

There being no further business to come before the governing authority, it was moved

by Director Merchant that the meeting be adjourned. The motion was seconded by Director Loyd and carried.
